Any Recommendations for good horror movies?

I know it's hard to say "good" and "horror movies" in the same sentence but it seems to be the only genre that my girlfriend likes, sadly. Also I'm looking for something that's already out on DVD. We've seen our fair share of them also but, if OT has any good movies up there selves that I haven't heard about that would be great.

The Howling - my favourite werewolf film; actually takes itself seriously compared to other wolf films and has the best special effects.

Kairo (Pulse) - Has an extremely creepy ghost scene that puts other ghost films to shame.

Eraserhead - Extremely surreal, very depressing - best depiction of a nightmare (if unintended) there has ever been film-wise.

I thought it was very good. I saw it in the theatres when I was 9 and it freaked me out. Voodoo, black magic and zombie powder, what's not to like?

I guess it's not technically a horror movie, more of a suspense film.

If you like Wes Craven, you should enjoy it.
