Any bands worse than Nickelback?

Okay, those who enjoy music hear it all the time "Nickelback is the worst band ever", and while I don't think that (I actually like quite a few of their songs, but that's my one of many not so popular opinions).

That said, even if you do hate them, can you name bands worse?

For me, it would be:

Creed - Just plain schlock. Plain and simple

Limp Bizkit - Such an awful mix of metal and hip-op. Or "NuMetal" as they call it.

Tons. Lots of people hate them, but they aren't entirely talentless.

But anyways, I wouldn't say any Bands are worst out there, just doesn't meet the quality of background music is most of the times is the problem I have. Volbeat always pick the worst background musics and the only song I actually like is "A Worriors Call". Second Band never get's it alright is 12 Stones.

Yes, lots. You don't hear about them because Nickelback is overshadowing them with all their combined awesomeness.

Yeah. I mean...I don't listen to enough Nickelback to make a proper critique of their overall music. That's like tlling a Justin Bieber hater that he can't make a judgement until he's listened to all of Justin Bieber's music. Why deliberately listen to the rest of it if the stuff that you've heard sucks?

Having said that, based on the Nickelback music THAT I HAVE HEARD, they are FAR from the worst thing ever. I mean, I can see some talent there, but they're just generic as f***.

Don't get me wrong, I still think that they suck (based on what I've heard). I just think that the "worst band ever" label is due in large part to them being insanely popular. I suspect that it isn't about them being completely talentless (which I don't think they are), but that they're generic as f*** AND insanely popular. Which kind of makes them a big target when it comes to "the music industry pushing crap on us."

It kind of feels like how people keep on ragging on McDonalds for being so unhealthy. There's FAR worse shit out there than McDonalds, but McDonalds is sort of the biggest so they take most of the heat. It's as much of an excuse to rag on the industry as a whole as it is a criticism on the individual band.

I don't listen much to "bands" as they tend to suck. But from what I've heard then yes, nickelback is definitely among the worst. Green day is pretty crappy too.

I think it's important to categorise bands within the genre you like. For example I like rock music, and I do not care for hip hop. Therefore my opinion would be that 99% of hip hop is trash.

That being said, I can't stand screamo bands, Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy off the top of my head.

Nickelback are average but I do like Burn it to the Ground, that's a great song.

Limp bizkit were awesome back in the day. I'm not into their music now (or any kind of comercial music for the matter) but they were definitely fresh when they came out. Nickelback is just... plain bad

Saying Limp Bizkit is worst than Nickleback is just laughable. Like'em or hate'em they, at least, brought something new

Whoever thinks Nickelback is a bad band needs to spent 5 minutes on YouTube. There are a lot of "bands" there that sound really crap.

There is most definitely a lot of different bands that are worse then Nickleback. I actually like a good number of their songs and don’t get why they received all this hate.

Linkin Park are probably the laziest band of all time when it comes to lyrics and song writing.

I find nothing wrong with Nickelback. Heck. They have my favorite hockey song.

Anything country IMO, my mom used to torture us growing up by playing country music really loud so now it's the one genre of music I don't enjoy at all.

I'm... baffled. Never in my entire life thought I'd hear something so incredibly asinine as that. And I'm not even a The Cure fan btw...

They aren't bad, they're just a scapegoat for generic music and it somehow turned into an internet meme.

I think Creed had a few okay songs, they are somewhat comparable to Nickelback tbh.

Mumford and Sons has at least one or two okay songs, but I really am not familiar with them enough to judge.

There are for certain many bands that are worse than Nickelback. The thing a lot of people seem to forget is that forming a successful rock group to begin with takes a lot of practice and touring, which I am sure Nickelback has done to stay active over the years.

I suppose its all personal preference. Now I love my metal core/death core, so a lot (and I mean, a lot) of people will hate that, and probably think its worse than Nickelback. Personally, I think the current trend of "hip-hop" (skrrts, pop, ting trend) is immensely worse than Nickelback. SO any of those artists I would automatically vote worse.

Metallica had a few memorable songs here and there, but really I never felt like they were thaaat fantastic. Nickelback = underhype, Metallica = overhype.

As someone who can seriously say I have never actually heard Nickelback, not a brag I just haven't ever heard them so I might like them who knows, when someone says worst bands anything Numetal always springs first to my mind. All of those bands were freaking awful and yes I'm including Korn. All. Of. Them. Freaking. Awful. Including. Korn.

I liked few songs of Bizkit like Nookie.
