I keep it in mind and appreciate my heritage,  but I dont "wave flags" too often because I would have to wave four of them. (German, English, Irish and Scottish, I think), and I am so far 'down the line' it really doesnt make much of a difference in my everyday life.

yea sorry about that brother at list you know your from africa:(, but I have looked back on my ancestry and found out that I had not family in america before 1870 so I had nothing to do with slaveryabattoir_blues

I am a white american, and I often am not allowed to be proud of my heritage becuase it is considered racist, but recently I found out that my grandpa was a real hungarien and was very interested in his life, for awhile for some reason I though I was russian becuase my name is very slavic and long.I also have Irish,german,scottish and swedish in my blood.Also my dad was born in hungary but came to america when he was like 5 so he is a american, but my grandma was scottish and I know her better than my dad becuase he left my mom when I was young are you guys proud of your heritage or do you not talk about it or ignore itabattoir_blues

im half scottish and half irish, also part english. Not uncommon
