  1. A Quiet Place - $22.0 Million
  2. Rampage - $21.0 Million
  3. I Feel Pretty - $16.2 Million (new release)
  4. Super Troopers 2 - $14.7 Million (new release)
  5. Truth or Dare - $7.9 Million
  6. Ready Player One - $7.5 Million
  7. Blockers - $6.9 Million
  8. Black Panther - $4.6 Million
  9. Traffik - $3.8 Million (new release)
  10. Isle of Dogs - $3.4 Million

Basically a slow weekend, not much to say other then I went to see Super Troopers 2 and it was funny but 20 years is a long time for a sequel. Given what's coming out next weekend, it doesn't really mater if this was a weak weekend for the most parts.

April 20-22 mojo box office weekend

@davillain-: That's right, because we all know what the number 1 movie is gonna be next week...

I predict a $350 million opening weekend!

Oh yeah...there's some other movie about costumed people going to war in their Infiniti luxury cars or something.

@hallenbeck77: And I already got my tickets this Thursday night! I think it'll have $300 million opening but $50 more would be mighty impressive.

Damn, didn't know a documentary about elephants had people THIS hyped...

But seriously, I can't do opening weekends anymore--as I've gotten older, my patience for crowds have gotten bad, not to mention I still got final coming up. I won't be seeing this for at least three weeks after opening weekend.

As far as Box office, this is the one to beat this summer. The possibility that could break The Force Awakens' opening weekend is there, but even so, pulling in an estimated $248 mil in the US is still a tall order, never mind hitting $300 mil.

I was one of those people that helped boost A Quiet Place back to No.1 this weekend. I very much enjoyed the film and I think it deserves all its success.

Overall it was a very solid new addition to this horror renaissance we've been having over this past decade.

I really liked A Quiet Place, I had no idea about it myself but recently picked up a part time gig at a theater and I noticed when doing screen checks and cleaning the theater that this movie had a very active attendance and decided to see what it was about myself. I liked it. A movie snob co-worker from another job tried discouraging me from seeing it saying nobody talks but given the premise it worked quite well.

watched it the other weekend, was pretty good. felt like it had barely been going for an hour before the end credits were rolling which is either the sign of a really gripping film where time just flies or... just a really short film.

for a quiet place it was a little from column a, but probably a little more from column b. definitely worth a watch but avoid getting a large popcorn, you'll barely be wrist deep before it's home time
