A girl asked me out tonight #MINDBLOWN

Preface: I have NEVER been approached by a woman in my entire life for two reasons. I've been told that my neutral resting expression makes me look angry and unapproachable and even though it's the 21st with women's rights and all, the vast majority of women still expect men to make the initial approach which I have had no problem doing. I'm a bit astounded that she asked me and I'm certain that it showed in my reaction.

So I've been talking to a personal trainer at the gym and she's not bad looking but I only consider us as friends,. I had no clue that she was attracted to me but we're going for coffee this Friday.

Has anyone else ever been asked out by a woman?

I literally had a girl once ask me if I wanted to F****. It was actually kind of weird and scared me away...turned out she was a married nympho and was friends with my g/f, so when I said no she tried to black mail me into meeting her, apparently I was the only guy that turned her down so it got to a point where she obtained my address and wrote me a letter which my g/f handed back to her with some final words. Another time back in college, a girl asked if I wanted to "make babies" but her stupid fat friend screwed me out of it plus I was shy so that didn't help and I missed out, she probably thought I wasn't interested but she was hot so yes I was but being an introvert makes you a dumbass. Aside from that, most other girls from my own experience typically just gave me signs but some women are kind of vague and not sure how to read them while other times they were more obvious. Unfortunately because I was an introvert, I missed out on a lot of other opportunities thinking back. But as soon as I reached around 30 I haven't' had any girls so much as flirt with me, least nothing that was obvious to me. But I'm married anyway so.....moral of my story is that girls can certainly be as forward if not as vulgar and aggressive as men, just more rare perhaps.

But congrats, always feels good for them to make the first move, especially since it's often they expect you to.

I've been asked out by women a number of times over my many years, the majority of my dates have been by women asking me out as opposed to me asking them out first. I actually prefer it that way though to be honest.

Man I was stalked by a girl in HS and that shit is NOT fun. Worse, my mom would let her in the house without asking me first.

Now I have a thing about girls approaching me. I have NO PROBLEM approaching them, but if they approach me I just get the creeps.

No, I've seen a few women checking me out but I've never been asked out.

Oh yeah, girls ask me out, well they used to. They sit me down and usually ask me the dumbest questions, like: "Do you know how to fire a rocket launcher?" Then they make a big scene and walk out on me and never want to talk to me again, just to say they did. Women. Typical women.

In elementary and middle school, I was asked out by a lot of girls. Never been asked out by a woman though.

It's nice to be attractive. It has to easily be my biggest leg up in life.

Nope. They do seem to flirt though, but I don't reciprocate.

@bforrester420: LOL, not quite. In the year that I've owned, it, I've lost count of how many guys have come up to me wanting to talk about the car but I've only encountered one woman who knew what it is. Most women see Nissan and think it's a Maxima coupe or something.

Conclusion is that if you are the type of guy who needs a car to get a woman's attention, the GT-R is not that car.

I've been asked out quite a few times, but it's almost always been by girls who are either unattractive or have some serious baggage (kids, abusive relationships in the past, etc).

I was asked out by a girl once in high school. Turned her down.

She asked me out for dinner. I suggested coffee instead because she's in my friend zone for now.

All my life I've never had to pursue girls. Not bragging every girlfriend I've had approached me. I don't think I'm particularly awesome looking. My friend used to do this thing in bars where he'd stop a girl and point to myself and a friend & ask which they liked better. They'd usually always say my other friend was better looking but for some reason I'd make a better boyfriend.... dunno why. Then I'd be going home with them.

Once at a bar hanging out with my friends room-mate who considered himself a casanova and criticized everything about thats not cool, thats lame etc. Pretty much the guy was a colossal fucking douchebag. I'm standing there and the guys yapping at me saying shit like "why're you just standing there aren't you going to talk to chicks ? Wow you're lame I'm outta here."

While standing there... girl approaches... says hello. Apparently I knew here previously and she said as the original poster implied I looked angry and snobby all the time. I was like oh... well what do you want me to do run up and kiss you on the cheek like this ? So i did. Next thing ya know she clamped her arms around my waist and wouldn't let go.

Douchenozzle comes strolling back and does a double take.. oh whats that mr. lame has a girl and you don't ? After that he tried to do a robbery hitting on the girl if I went to the bar anytime I walked away. She ended up dumping her drink on him.

I find just being myself and not a fake douchebag, be honest, and be funny in particular... make them laugh & you'll meet people.
