9 year old girl accidentally kills gun instructor with Uzi

I'm not sure why people are so stunned by a 9 year old handling a gun. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the girl using an uzi was a bit much for her age and for her skill level. However, her handling an airsoft gun or a .22 is perfectly acceptable with the proper supervision and guidance. Certain states allow kids in various age ranges, some as young as 10, to go hunting, again under licensed supervision. I know some people here are fearful of guns, but that doesn't mean the rest of us are.

I'm sticking with airshocker on this one.

When I was a kid I accidentally hit my sister with a golf club in the head and almost killed her. I had no idea she was standing right behind me when I swung.

The gun instructor is wrong FYI. In the military, the first time you fire a machine gun you use more than a few rounds.

Anyways, the instructor made a mistake. Most gun ranges go to extremes to keep everyone safe. Relax, people.

Tens of millions of people, including kids went to gun ranges last year, and this is all the anti gun crowd can come up with for a 2 week long story - ONE tragic accident?

Last year in Chicago - there were 500 murders, more than 75% of them committed by black people, only 4% of the murders were committed by white people . . . but liberals don't like to talk about that.

By the way, Chicago is 33% black, 32% white, and 30% Latino.

That should be a MUCH bigger story than a gun range accident, but the media says nothing.

I shot an m16 around 9 or so. First shot threw me back into this truck which was a few feet behind me. Then my father bear hugged me from behind and I unloaded the rest of the clip into a dirt hill. Fun memories.
