This stuff happens all the time.. people with guns catch intruders in the act.. this is just in the news because the woman was 85 years old. Are you still against the right to bear arms? Story:

POINT MARION, Pa. - An 85-year-old woman boldly went for her gun and busted a would-be burglar inside her home, then forced him to call police while she kept him in her sights, police said.

That burglar must feel like a noob, letting an old lady go rambo on his ass.

Well thats good, especially after what was on the news yesterday. There was an old lady (80 something years old) in an elevator who got put in a chokehold by someone, who then ran off with her purse and cane. Who would physically harm an old lady just rob her?

Yes because guns are too much power for a regular person to have. So what if she did something heroic... she could've easily lost her nerve and killed someone.

Because a single incident fitting the circumstances one would use in their argument would make their position infallible. duh

You can think what you want, my british friend. Here in the USA, we have the right to bear arms. It's something that was decided after the United States was sick of british law and sent the british running home with their tails between their legs.

I agree it was uncalled for, but you have to admit that it is pretty funny that people are still getting offended by something that happend over 200 years ago.

What has "history" got to do with anything? The only reason you decided to bring history into the equation was so that you could insult him.

And he was stating his opinion on guns...not America.

Why the hell would it do that?

because it shows that guns are good.

not only that, but a gun was used in a somewhat funny way to do something good.

in addition, no one died.

I think that makes up Columbine and a few thousand accidental shootings, hmmmmm?

I was with you until here.

Say what you will, but the Americans here on Gamespot hardly ever tell non-Americans what to do.

Yet Americans always get told what to do.

Anyway, sorry for starting the argument, I was being sarcastic.

[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"][QUOTE="The_Mac_Daddy"]You can think what you want, my british friend. Here in the USA, we have the right to bear arms. It's something that was decided after the United States was sick of british law and sent the british running home with their tails between their legs.The_Mac_Daddy

Do you enjoy living in a country where you need a gun to feel safe? It's doesn't make the US look good at all.

Just because someone owns a gun, doesn't mean it's for protection...

so whats the point then.....

hunting? shooting as a hobby? collecting?

I still dont see the point

I mean some people might enjoy walking into the woods and shooting an animal for no reason and collecting guns if they have no use

Honestly I don't disagree with the right to bear arms, I just don't see the necessity to have hundreds of firearms when 1 or 2 should suffice.
