I personally think that cigarettes should be illegal because they do kill you due to "proper" use. Alcohol isn't dangerous unless you binge, but I agree it should have an age limit.

It has always been illegal. People should never start doing it in the first place. If someone gets fired for NOT FOLLOWING RULES, I think that is a good reason to get fired. Then they can hire someone that does follow rules.

Because its the law. If you break it you face the consequences. If its a stupid law then work to get it changed but until it is it's breaking the law. Just because you dont like it or its stupid doesnt mean its any less legal for the time being.

People are arguing that smoking MJ isn't a big deal, so it should be legal.

I say it isn't a big deal, so it's not worth the effort to change laws.

I disagree with the no increased potency fact.

With genetic engineering and modern cross breeding technologies all crops have gotten more resilient and give bigger yields. Marijuana is likely not an exception.

It's safe normally, but you have to trust who ever is making it, it could be a "bad joint" :P I know someone who had a seizure from it. There is bad stuff in it.

I agree, but it's from years of usage rather than every single time like pot.

Marijuana is illegal. Get over it. If you want to smoke so bad there are several places where it's legal, such as Amsterdam. Or, you can write your Congressman and petition for them to push to legalize it. California had their chance to legalize it on the state level (even though it would have still been illegal federally) and they blew it. People are always going to complain about something being out of their hands, no matter what. If MJ was legalized tomorrow they'd found something else to complain about, like alcohol being off-limits to people under 21 or porn and cigarettes being off-limits to people under 18. People always want to do something that they're not supposed to do just to say they did it and if marijuana was legal they probably wouldn't care about it anymore.

I get all A's in my college classes and volunteer 2 hours a week at the boys and girls club. I also smoke regularly. Marijuana is like anything, if you let it control you of course it will negatively affect you.

I use it to relax. Its not like I sit around and get high everyday and watch cartoons. Most my friends are the same way.

Not saying its more harmful, just the odds are more potent strains exist.

Heck, its probable less dangerous as you need less to get high, so your smoking less materials.
