12-year-old Girl Walking Alone On A Bridge At 2 am..

So I was out, you know, up to no good, driving home in the middle of the night. A normal Thursday for me. You ever drive home real late at night like at 3 or 4 am? you always see the weirdest things..the streets would be deserted and quiet, but you'll see some old guy casually walking his dog or something like that to throw off the whole scene. Well last night was one of those weird scenarios. I was driving to over a bridge coming home from a friend's house. I see a little girl walking alone on this bridge. I passed by thinking to myself why would this youngster be taking a stroll on this bridge in the middle of the night. Well, I believe I did the right thing and called 911. I described the young girl and went along my day.

I wonder if I did the right thing..

Too mna ypossiblites. You did the logical thing and the best thing you vould have done without getting involved.

Calling 911 was the right thing to do otherwise you would have been accused of something if you pulled over and talked to her....

I would have stopped to ask her what she was doing, especially if they are that young.

However calling 911 was a decent move as a police officer would beable to help her a lot more than I would.

I don't know a grown man pulling up to a 12 year old he doesn't know in the middle of the night the girl might have screamed rape. Plus I don't trust kids these days never know if she was high and had a weapon.

Well there is no way off knowing what she was up to, but are you sure she was around the age of 12? Maybe it could of been an adult. Anyways I would stop and ask if she oks and needs help. If she is normal and is jsut lost or needs a ride then I would just give her a ride, but if she is some wierd runaway suicidal girl the I would of just calle the Popo or just keep driving.J-WOW

she was definitely a young person, not a little kid like 6,7,8. She looked like a preteen, probably around 10-13. I just guessed 12

I think you acted responsibly. Most people would have just kept driving. At least you alerted the authorities, although how did you know she was 12?

Wow... that entire thing is very unsettling, its dangerous to be out after dark, especially for a girl her age. You definitely did the right thing, but I only hope that someone was able to locate her before anything happened.

How is that not normal? I did it all the time when I was a kid and still do.

how do you know if it was a "she"?
