My son (9) was pretty far into Zelda, Twighlight Princess. His little brother (3) can play video games but unfortunately lacks the ability to discriminate. So he saved over the older brothers game with his own game.

Is it possible to recover this file?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick responses. I appreciate it.

What would be the best way to prevent this problem in the future? I see it has a slot for a memory card. Would he be able to save his games to that and keep it in his room for safe keeping?

If so, can you direct me where to find one and what kind and how big?

Well theres two slots for memory, one is for the gamecube (on top of the Wii) and one is for the SD Card, which is above the disc slot.

What you could do is make a back up on an SD Card. To do this you have to go to your Wii memory, click the zela file, and copy it to the SD card. That way, if anything happens again you can always delete the save file on your Wii and copy the zelda file from the SD card back into your Wii.

i hope thats not too confusing.

GC? game cube?

No this is Zelda for the Wii.

I think I understand though. I guess we'll be running out to the local Gamespot then. Thanks for you help.

I have to go wipe some tears. Poor guy.

you can get any SD card to work with it, i'd suggest just getting one from walmart or something, as long as its 2GB or less.

Also, sorry about your son, must suck.
