Im feel kinda childish thinking about buying a dsi (im 23 soon) just wanna know your age if you are going to buy it or allready own one, i kinda want it but need a confidence boost and know how old dsi gamers are? or if i just shoud leave it and stick to tv consoles.

I don't like the stereotype that the DS is childish. I had a PSP and eventually got bored with that so I'm planning on buying a DS lite in the sometime near future. It seems to have better quality RPGs, not to mention in quantity as well. Oh, yeah I'm 21.

Im 25 but Im not buying the DSi. It has nothing to do with my age though, its just because it doesnt play GBA games. It doesnt matter how old you are, if you enjoy a system and its games thats all that matters. I plan on wading through all the kids when Platinum comes out and if someone asks me I just say Im buying it for my kid(joking).:)

The Nintendo DS seems to offer, more than any other console thus far, a library that appeals to all types of players, spanning every age and interest. That said, I'm in the same boat as the two posters after the OP.

I'm 25 and not buying a DSI. I already have a DS Lite and feel no need to buy a new version of the same system.

Count me two. And i'm 19 as well, and i must say that the stereotype that the DS is childish is the biggest s*** i've ever heard (sorry for the foul languge =P). If you still fear that anyone will make fun comments, just go to academy 'till you turn into an oversized brute. I doubt someone will ever think in saying something about you playing your good DS. lol.

I'm 28 and I am getting a Black DSi in April. To tell you the truth, I actually prefer hand-held gaming over console gaming. If you think the DS has games that appeal to you, then go for it.

GTA isn't exactly a kiddie game : ) I don't see the difference between an adult playing a full-length game on a DS and an adult playing a casual game on a smartphone. While I'm over 25, I won't be buying a DSi since I just bought a DS Lite a few months ago.

21 and replacing a first gen ds with the dsi.

You shouldn't feel kiddy for buying a ds, you're an adult who's buying a product that will entertain yourself.

16, and yes, I'm getting a DSi. The new features are helpful to me, a person who doesn't have an MP3 or camera-phone

I'm 18 and I'm not buying the DSi. I have my Lite and enjoy it. I'll probably but the DSi when they update it or if something happens to my lite.

Im 26 and Im getting a DSI. Also not going to get rid of my DS. Its nice to have a couple of them so you can play multiplayer games when you have friends over. Nothing wrong with having 2 copies of Mario Kart right?

14 (will be 15 in 4 days). I gonna buy one, just not now. Due to a poor investment strategy, I inadvertently depleted my DS game library. I decided it would be best to replenish it before upgrading, so I'm spending my DSi funds on new games. Also, I still have a year left on my DS Lite's extended warrranty so I thought I'd hold on to it a little longer, at least until the US DSi Shop fills up.

P.S. Though I'm much younger than you, and my post didn't do you much good, I thought I'd let you know that my Dad has a DS as well (my old DS) and he's 46. He loves it.

Yeah as pretty much everyone else here has said there is nothing to be ashamed of. I am 25 and love my DS and had zero problems walking in and buying kirby super star ultra and animal crossing. The clerks even chatted me up for a bit about how awesome the games were after I paid.

Believe me when I say that GTA does not hold back at all and definitely has earned its mature rating on the DS. I would give some examples but I dont want to spoil anything, but their are some mature moments that trump even GTA4.

I don't know why you would feel childish for buying a DSi. There are plenty of 'non childish' games out there for it. I'm getting ready to turn 29 and I'll be at my Gamestop bright and early on the 5th ready to get my hands on that thing

I was 17 when i bought my self a DS and i'm 19 now, i still love the system, there's many reasons really, first i love Nintendo and the Mario franchise, i've been enjoyed with Gameboy since i was 6 and i'm a loyal Nintendo fan, i hate people who says it's a childish system, well i still love to play DS and i dont need a DSi.

I was in my fifties when I bought my first PHAT DS. I have enjoyed hours of play time and have NO regrets.

I probably won't buy a DSi however.

1. My PHAT still works PHINE. :D

2. The DSi doesn't have a GBA slot.

3. My DearoldDad once said "Never buy anything the first year it comes out. That's when all the "bugs" show up." (He was talking about cars at the time but I find it holds true for just about all machines.)

Between my wife and I we have 2 ds phats,1 ds lite and soon enough a new dsi. Why? Cause I can and they are always on high rotation and I like to have them in different parts of the house. I'm 35 and will be a dedicated gamer til I die :)

I'm 17, and I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the DSi. Partly for the new features, and partly because my Lite's starting to show some wear... Plus, I like the idea of an integrated web browser.

Im 17. I'm not sure if buying a DSi when i have a perfectly good DS lite is justifiable. I mean what else is there besides a couple cameras?

Just be careful to not transform this into a DSi discussion, or the mods will lock the topic, ya know?
