Unfortunately, I doubt it will ever happen, especially with Brawl coming out soon as it is - plus Smash Bros 64's inevitable arrival on the VC.

Horrible and very unoriginal idea. SSB won't work well on the DS IMO. And I don't want some watered down version of Brawl on the DS. SSB are too big of games to try and water down for handhelds. SSB should remain on consoles only.bededog

Ever play Jump Ultimate Stars? There hasn't been a Smash game made (including Wii's version) that eclipses it as far as size.

That being said Smash is just like Pokemon, confined to one kind of system. Pokemon in it's true RPG form will be handheld only and Smash will be console only.

Besides, that game is too hardcore for most DS owners.

I find it amusing that people come in and say "so many threads wah wah wah" and then spend heaps of time posting.. You have to option to ignore these threads remember.. As far as a Super Smash Bros goes I think it would be a great game for the DS, specially when you add the whole multiplayer experience into the mix with wifi and wireless.

Just look how good Mario Kart is on the DS and you can see the potential. It doesnt even need to be watered down considering what Nintendo have been able to do with there 1st Party games. Im sure they could come up with a SSB that would make people fall instantly in love. Im sure they could make a DS version of Smash Bros that would be fun for everyone and it would sell like hot cakes!
