How about both. I never had the chance to play on the PS2 version and many here didn't have the chance as well. chris3116
Yes I would like both. Hehehehehe both. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OKAMI:lol:
Why a port?....wheres the sense in that. Definetly sequal...if i wanted a port i could just buy the original for my PS2 for a cheaper price.

Makes incredible sense.
Instead of a port on the Wii people could buy a PS2 and Okami for it also.
Good thing Okami is down to 29.99
I mean heck the whole thing would only cost people 160 dollars (US)

people want to play last gen games instead of a new game? :?
to each his own i suppose. a sequel built from the ground up>a port though
Sonick54
Many people didn't get to play it on the PS2. It's an awesome game, so why not pick it up? I don't mind ports when they are ports of good games like RE4 and Okami.

So you skipped Zelda Twilight Princess?
He's saying that if Zelda was built from the ground up for the Wii, it would be better, and I agree 100%.

considering both versions came out nearly at the same time, no. IF TP came out for the wii a year later, i sure as hell wouldn't buy it again when it would be the same thing.
Okami's a what, a 2 year old game? what sense is there playing an old game with waggle control

bingo
what makes you think that's gonna change when it's ported to wii? Considering how third parties are selling on it, this won't change much.

Exactly Okami, Zack and Wiki and No More Heroes are all destined to flop. I mean sure a couple more people will play it but it wont be mainstream. Anyway if they add something new to the story which they wont, I would buy it but 40 dollars turns me off.
Game Software (in units sold) 1) Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat (360, Activision) - 1.47 million 2) Super Mario Galaxy (Wii, Nintendo) - 1.40 million 3) Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2, Activision) - 1.25 million 4) Wii Play with Wii Remote (Wii, Nintendo) - 1.08 million 5) Assassin's Creed (360, Ubisoft) - 893,700 6) Halo 3 (360, Microsoft) - 742,700 7) Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day (DS, Nintendo) - 659,500 8) Madden NFL 08 (PS2, Electronic Arts) - 655,200 9) Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (360, Activision) - 624,600 10) Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii, Sega) - 613,000
this is december's 2007 software sales.
other than mario and sonic at the olympics (a mini game collection no doubt), i don't see any other third party wii title there.
okami was a sales flop on the ps2 despite it being an AAA game. What woud the wii do to make it sell all of a sudden?
like i said, if it had a tough time selling on ps2, it's gonna be harder for it on wii

I totally agree with you. I want a good PS2 port and a full-fledged sequel to go along with it.

Maybe I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about, but could it be because it came out in 2006 on the God system that is known as the PS2? Really, people had way more choices during that time, especially since it was on the PS2. Wii doesn't have as big as a selection, so I think it might do better this time around. The cel shaded graphics are going to turn a lot of people off, though.
And sequel, definitely. I never played the original one, but I would rather buy it for the PS2, and then buy the sequel for the Wii. It's a win-win situation for me. I get to play two superb games.

Either way, I never played it and I can't wait to experience ths game in late March.
Clover Studios was disbanded after creating the masterpiece in question. No true sequal can ever be created now, and I'm not sure if any publisher would want to take on the financial investment. Okami's sales weren't terrible but it was a very expensive game to make. I'm just happy the original is getting ported to the Wii. Okami might have made waves had it been created just for the Wii (as the controls seem custom built for the Wiimote) but hopefully this port will generate some buzz and extra sales. I'm also hoping the dev team can get rid of some of the slowdown from the PS2 version.Archon_basic
