would gamecube dance pad work on the wii?

(i mean, can i use that dance pad to play wii version of dance dance revolution? or am i limited to gamecube's dance dance revolution only?)

yeah but i read also somewhere that the dance mat bundled with dance dance revolution: hottest party, plugs into the gamecube port...

and i can't find a dance mat only for wii...everywhere it's bundled with that game...how are we supposed to play multiplayer without owning multiple copies of the game?
