Since they're rereleasing the Gamecube games I would think Mario Sunshine would be on the list.

That was never a game

It was a tech demo to show how much the Dolphin could have going on at one time.

Nothing more then an ad running on console hardware.

Change the record please. What exactly was you looking to get from the conference? Do you think they won't be able to bring new games out because of this? Isn't it good that first time Nintendo buyers can experience the cream of last gen?

They already can, wii is backward compatible with Gamecube games.

Although I do like the idea of releasing metroid Prime with wii controls.

I imagine it will retain aspects of Galaxy. Miyamoto will definitely ensure that the new game will both build on that foundation and also create something different to seperate the two titles.

It probably won't be as space-based as the original game, but Miyamoto's true plans are anyone's guess. Remember, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask LOOKED alike, but they were incredibly different.

There's only one definite. We will get a new Mario within the next couple of years, and it will be on the Wii. My guess is early 2010.

Miyamoto said he wanted to make a sequel. He probably will.bob_newman

More so than that, he said they've already reformed to start work on the next Mario, Zelda and Pikmin. Whether or not the Mario is a sequel to Galaxy only time can tell.

Making a sequel to Galaxy would just ruin it.

To be honest, I don't see where Mario can go from here. The space/Galaxy theme is about as epic as you can get...and anything else may feel like a step backward.
