I would expect that to be plenty. How rough are you on tech equipment I guess should be the question? I have no screen protector on mine yet and there are no scratches on it through normal use and some stylus drawing time since release.

That depends.

Do you plan on taking it on any car, plane, train, or bus trips?

I don't put screen protectors on anything. Just makes the image worse in my opinion. The rest of the Gamepad is built like any other game controller. I don't know what you do with your gaming stuff that you worry about such things.

I don't know what kind of (#@*(@#$* protectors you're using then.

As for the thread itself, yeah go grab some Hori stuff and call it a day

You know something that I've thought about with the WiiU gamepad, although it's not portable it is a small easily transportable screen and controller in one, so assuming you can power the base unit it is the most easily portable "full" console. I'm thinking like a high power inverter thats enough to handle the WiiU and then playing games in the car on the pad. I have a high power inverter, I think it's 800watts but needs to be directly wired to the battery. I have another thats I think 300wattsm no idea if its enough to power the WiiU :).
