I still have yet to see any in the stores since last October. I had to get mine off of Ebay but maybe you will get lucky. I keep seeing advertisement for them being in stores so they are bound to at least have a few somewhere. I wish you luck though.
im in aus. and i just went to lots of stores and put my name on their waiting list and i was extremely lucky they had one for me within two days, because the wait was meant to be arund 6-7 weeks!
Every day might as well be black friday for the wii in the states.
I waited outside circuit city two hours before open this weekend and they gave out "coupons" to be redeemed for wiis in-store when they opened. They handed out 17 of these and lucky me, I was number 18 in line.
So yes, they're basically still impossible to get if you plan on not paying over retail price.
I live in NY too, its hard finding a Wii i am also looking for one. Chances are you will have SSBB before you find a Wii sorry to say. A lot of the times you go to a store to see if they have them and they will tell you they had them the day before
