US, July 14, 2008 - According to an article published by Japan's Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Nintendo is planning to pull back the curtain on its long-in-development console title, Wii Music, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2008 this week. Gamers will be able to use the Wii remote like a conductor's baton in order to change the pace and flow of music. Additionally, the peripheral can be used to simulate instruments. And up to four gamers can play simultaneously, according to the paper.

Nintendo is hoping to sell more than two million copies of the game in Japan. The publication did not release any details regarding price or release date, but that information is likely to be made public in the next couple of days.

I'd never actually heard of this before, but judging from the videos, this seems like something that should be no more than a Wiiware title. Can't believe they're making this a full retail game.The_Pig_Hostage

I doubt we have seen all it can do. It's been in developement for more then 2 years(shown before the Wii launch right?), so there is bound to be more then just that small conducting part.

It's pretty clear it won't need more than the Wiimote and sometimes the Nunchuk.

Well, there's also a video of the "group play" mode, but that doesn't seem too interesting either. But you're right, there's probably more to it than what we've seen, so I'll reserve judgement.

I think all the negativity in this thread is hilarious... its amazing how many people purchased a system that from day one said it was a console for everyone but get annoyed everytime a game is coming out that doesnt appeal to them...ag1052

I didn't notice so many people are using it, but I use it because GS lacks a facepalm smiley.

This game could be ethier really cool and awsome or quite lame.

my guess:insanly awsome, they have been working on this game for a while now. The gameplay will be good, the only question is how deep it will be. I am ethier renting or buying this game.
