This problem happens to me all the time. I open the shop channel up and I sit there and wait there for like an hour and nothing happened. So I just deleted my current connection I have on and make a new one and then everything seems to move alot faster. Whenever my connection is bad I just do this. It should work.

I have trouble with my shop channel too. The other internet ones work fine though.

Maybe it has something to do with me stealing my neighbor's connection

happens all the time. you just have to play around with it. or else adjust your router settings from 1 to 11 and vice versa

It happens to me every time I try to use the channel so every time I want to download something I have to move all my wires around and sit my wii directly next to the router, and then it works.

The vastt majority of people don't have a problem connecting to the shop. They either have their routers on one or eleven or know to delete the connection settings because a problem occured.

I must be lucky, I've never had a problem connecting to any of the channels. Though obviously many people do

The connection could be very slow or weak. If its dial-up check someone isn't on the phone.
