It was bound to happen eventually. I'm actually surprised this news didn't come sooner. Anyway, what are some of your favorite games or memories you found on the service?

Act Raiser: Never played this on the SNES but it was one of the early VC releases. A just alright action game mixed with a just alright god-game that somehow turns great put together.

Rage of the Gladiator: This game out-punch-outs Punch-Out.

Muscle March: Yeah, it's only fun in short bursts, but the fact it was even conceived, green-lit, and released at all is just amazing.

I guess the $20 a year powerbill is a bit too much for them to leave their pentium 4 server on.

That sucks, I have $200 worth of games on the machine.

If my old launch 2006 Wii breaks, and I replace it, my games are gone and the shop will be gone.

I'll miss the catchy duh-duh duh-duh duh-duh duh-duh tune that made me want to go broke on shovelware and virtual console games.
