Wii remotes don't turn on?

Ok so I just recently got a Wii and the controllers don't turn on or turn the Wii on half the time. Usually the 4 blue lights will just keep blinking every time I press a button and the controller won't show just the one blue light.

What am I supposed to do?

I press the A button and it still keeps blinking. But I've synced it already.
