Hi so i recently got legend of zelda ocarina of time bonus disc for the gamecube, so i could play ocarina of time on my wii! i even went out and bought a classic controller pro, however the problem is, when i start the game up, and it gives me the choice to play master quest or ocarina of time, the classic controller doesnt respond at all, and the wii remote isnt even on! however before when i was on the wii channel home page, they both worked perfectly, the classic controller was working and so was the wii remote, it just doesnt respond at all when i play gamecube game, pls help!! as iam dieing to start playing through ocarina of time, also would it be best to buy a gamecube controller that connects directly into the wii?

Well, the game only operates with the controller of it's game console. So, if it was a gamecube game, you can only use the gamecube controller.

You can play any VC game with a GC controller or a CC controller. But GC specific games can only be played with GC compatible controllers (3rd or 1st party). If you don't want to invest in one GC controller and a GC memory card then purchase the VC version, but no Master Quest there. You can also wait for the OoT version for the 3DS which contains both versions ;)

Since it's a GAMECUBE game, you need a GAMECUBE controller.

You will need to pick yourself up a Gamecube Controller, A friend of mine did the same thing as you and then wasn't able to get a hold of a Gamecube Controller for weeks.

Aww, I would've suggested you bought OoT for the VC rather than the Master Quest Edition, way cheaper and it's the "exact" same thing as the original (besides using a GC controller, which can't utilize the Rumble Function -.-)
