Its would be interesting to see if they take this and make a update that allows you to sync your Wii with a Bluetooth headset if you have one and also come out with a headset for those who don't have one. In the meantime, maybe they will pack the headset in with Brawl. (Hey Mario Kart Wii packs in a wheel, Wii packed in Wii Sports, it could happen :question: In any regards, come one Brawl Trash Talk!

well.... i guess that if they ever do, they pry would limited the online "team" to your friends with the FC stuff... i do not think they would aloud kids to play online at the same group of adults. So if they do that, you would pry end up playing with the friend you like of your Wii.... IMO i think would be a nice way of achieve the protection of kids while at the same time you do not have to deal with a bunch of ****** online.

Anyone who thinks that it won't is an idiot. Even the ds does. While it may take a bit for ninty to hop on, don't be surprised if an early '08 title supports it.

Cool. but if it actually DOES come out I doubt Nintendo will update any games to support the mic. *sigh*movin_target

they would not update games already in production (almost release game) nor game that already have had being release.... So I would not expect SSBB to have it, maybe maybe mario kart.... the peripheral is "being desing" so this would be for future games.... imo

Ya while this may seem cool it sadly won't be in brawl because if you can't use that talking system to talk to your opponents why the hell would they let you do it with a mic sigh....but on the bright side if this does happen i prat to god there comes some awsome online shooter the likes of halo for wii i would flip with joy.Yomamathe4th

They should have abandoned friend codes for Family Settings (as in 360) long ago.

Oh c'mon Reggie, just confirm it. You'd only be confirming a feature DS has had for a year, and what PC gaming has had for over a decade...

What would be nice is if we could talk with a headset not through a specific game, but through an opton in the Wii menu. Then we could join a game normally, and continue talking to the same person/people.

If that would happen, we could talk with people that aren't necessarily playing the same game, or that aren't playing at all, and we wouldn't need the functionality to be featured in the games themselves.

On the subject of the Wii having a voice chat option, "It's about damn time!" is all I have to say. Honestly, I probably wouldn't use it much, or at all; I had a headset for Xbox Live and never turned it on because of all the idiot 12 year old racists out there. In fact, that's my only fear with Nintendo getting voice chat in it's games. I don't want the Big N to lose their family friendly atmosphere after one intense Brawl match.

I do realize however, that if they want their online field to grow, they'll need to make some improvements, and a headset and online games with a voice chat ability is a step in the right direction. Hopefully it will be one of those Nintendo products that will actually come out and NOT in the final stages of the console's life.

Voice chat was necissary for BWii and I'm saddened it was released without it (although it could still be patched in I guess) Brawl on the other hand will be infinitely better without it. What would it be used for other than idiots swearing and shouting abuse at each other?

I'm hoping for voice chat, I just don't want little kids spamming the mic. OMG, I don't want it to turn into XBL. I would be happy with talking with "friends" or being able to choose people you talk to or something IDK, or like some muting thing, because I really don't care about the kids who try to cuss me out. Personally, I don't like voice chat. You really can't filter voice chat and I find that it takes away from the atmosphere of the game after constant racial slurs or excessive swearing. Sure you can just block people or turn it off, but whats the point in including it then?

My prefered communication is type chat.

voice chat, great, but id rather see the friend code system done away with first. is it really necessary to be so hidden? give us a profile and screen name, and lobbies. i think the whole live experience needs better functionality just as much as it needs voice.soadinc
