why are 3ds games being released the 3ds

i'm confused. why are some 3ds games being release well over a week before the 3ds comes out. what good does it do to have a 3ds game when you can't play it

Im not sure, I think it has something to do with Japan getting the 3DS before us Americans.

I remember a few years back now. I was working at GAME and COD 3 was released on the wii 2 weeks before the console came out. LOL :D

It's happened before. I'd buy a game I wanted if I saw it in store a few days before I could get the console.

Maybe so people have a game before they go and pick up their preordered 3DS?

well maybe its to give us games before we have the system , so that way people who can only get the system day one has games already for it ,
