Different people seem to have different reactions over Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (and Justice for All) so I decided to try and see if the majority of people here like the Phoenix Wright series or not. Just state if you do or you don't, and if you don't could you mind telling me why?

I could only get my hands on JFA, unfortunately, but I like it. I don't necessarily LOVE it, but I do enjoy it. I'm on the third case, btw.

I really like the game, that said I get really irritated with the game sometimes because of it's illogical "you have to present this and only this" feel when you know the answer. I don't like the way it makes you guess which info it wants at that precise moment. Beyond that it's a great game.

the only way to play phoenix wright is by reading through texts... phoenix wright is heavily text-ridden... the only reason some people dont like PW is because they get nose-bleeds or their brains starts hemorrhaging after reading all that text... unless u prefer to play games with all the action and spell casting and mayham and bedlam and things of that sort, then PW is definitely not the game for u... PW has that interactive comic book feel with detective work and plenty of investigations and putting together 2 and 2... i luved part 1 and part 2, IMO part 2 is a bit harder because most of the clues and evidences are not that obvious as they were in part 1, part 2 really requires u to think outside the box...

Oh mydid I love Phoenix Wright, I just got the first me recently, nd without even finishing it I already reserved the second one, got the stylus, got he second game still shrink wrapped! just finished the ourth case fromhefirst gam and byoy am Iloving every minute of it! Phoenix wright has to be one of the most unique experiences I have had with a video game, it was a new genre and totally sucked me into the story with a cast of beautiful characters, great cases, and rewarding endings. Not to mention the game had me on my toes in the last few cases. Awesome game, loved it...can't wait to play case 5 and finally open the second one so I can play that one too.

I love Phoenix Wright, I am one of the most vocal fans of the franchise.

While the game is illogical and has way too much Deus Ex Machina, it is a great experience and doesn't go beyond what you see in standard Anime fare or stuff found on American Television (If you can't read between the lines, I mean it isn't THAT strange compared to what we are normally watching).

What I do like is the strong cast and the inventive, silly storylines. It is not pretentious but it requires some intelligence. It isn't incredibly humorous, but you will find it quite funny.

I like it. TELL. THE. TRUTH. My only problem with the game is that the cases have been very linear so far. Fortunately, the game is so entertaining that one fails to notice it too often.

Got 'em both, played 'em both (duh..) and loved 'em both. Though it was something I didn't play very often(The whole text driven thing), I still loved the game. It had a great story, marvelous characters and a superb plot.

Imo, first one > second. Better use of touch screen, had a good 'wow' factor, characters were more likeable and therefore a more enjoyable experience.

I think the 3rd one will be the best though, the cases seem to get EVEN harder, you can play as two other attorneys, and the music that I've heard so far is more to my liking than the second one!

Agreed, and it is well known that the 3rd game is the closest that Phoenix Wright has to the "Ultimate Villian"

Let's just say this person affects 4 out of the 5 cases!!!

Just wanted to add that I love this series.  Can't clearly explain why, but these games are hard to put down.  The heavy text might scare many off, but I enjoy the dialog and find it very clever at times.  I recommend that people should at least try it and see for themselves if it's something they will like.  I just hope that more are brought over to the states.  Speaking of which, how many games are in the series and/or could still be brought over?

My view of this game has changed over time. The first time I owned it and played it I hated it but I've come to believe that was because I went into the game with the wrong expectations. I was expecting something more serious in tone like Hotel Dusk. I was fairly vocal about my opinion about the game. However, after reading some posts that explain why some love this game so much I decided to pick it up again when I found it for a bargain price. I still think the game has some significant flaws but if you take it for the fun, campy little adventure it's supposed to be you can enjoy it immensely if you give it a chance. I think it's a great series and I look forward to one made specifically for the DS.

Yes, she had a lot to do with it.  I've come to respect her opinions and I enjoy her blog and game suggestions.

I believe that it's important to be able to admit when you were wrong and to change.  I'm grateful to her because I've had a great time with PW my second time around.

Wow.  Thanks great to hear!  I hope the rest are able to find their way out here.  Do you know if they still star Phoenix Wright?  I don't see why they wouldn't, but you never know.
