It's been a long while since Nintendo has announced any of thier big franchises. Wheres Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Star Fox, Yoshi, Kid Icurus or anything for that matter? Does Nintendo think because Wii's are flying off the shelf they don't need to release any info on up coming games? I sure hope they announce something soon. I scour the internet every day hoping for an anouncement. It seems like everyday PS3 and 360 owners have something to talk about. I'm starting to get jealous. Most of the 3rd party stuff I'm not even interested in other then 2 or 3 games Fragile, Final Fantasy, CB and Muramasa. I hope Nintendo takes some of that new found fortune and invests it in some new IP's or development studios.

Any thoughts on the subject welcome.

Heavy hitters? Well I've heard Bowser and Donkey Kong hit the most homers in Mario Sluggers, so I'd go with them.

Nintendos "Big Hitters" are definitely out there so you either need to do some research, or try out some new games.

I'm waiting for an F-Zero and a Star Fox. Surely they are considered heavy-hitters?

Well Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 came out late last year.

Super Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii came out in the first half of 2008.

Zelda Twilight Princess was a launch title for the Wii.

Nintendo took the year off but next year there's punch-out, sin and punishment 2, fire emblem:shadow dragon, mario and luigi 3, and a new pikmin, new zelda, and new star fox are in the works for either holiday 2009 or 2010
