first things first... does canada use the ESRB's rating system? cause if not... couldnt canada get Manhunt 2 for sony and nintendos consoles? and other countries too?

Yes. Canada does use the ESRB system.

the problem isnt just the ESRB. the console makers themselves arent going to release game that gets an AO rating. But i kind of see what you're syaing. do you mean that If the esrb isnt being used in other countries, then could it still be released there? if that is your question, then i have no idea. im curious just as you are, but i think the answer is most likely no.

I'm not sure about Brazil, but Japan does use its own rating system. Europe also uses a different system.

But that's besides the point. If a company like Nintendo bans a game in one region, it wouldn't make any sense for them to allow it elsewhere.

canada does use the esrb rating system. it probably won't be released in canada if sony and nintendo don't release it on there console's. Btw happy 140th canada woot party 2nite 4 sure

well, had manhunt gotten an M in america and been banned in the UK, im sure that they would have gone ahead and sold it in america

Nintendo and I think even sony have this rule will they will never release a AO game on there system, samething with retailers like Wal-Mart they won't have them either. But to answer your question yes they use the ERSB and I should know

Perhaps, but only because it would have just been the UK government that banned it. In this case, it was Nintendo itself (along with Sony) that placed a ban on the game.
