turn it back on as it could be a one time thing. It's not like a system has never done a screw up before but was fine later, otherwise if after it didn't turn back on call Nin 4 sure
i'd probably just turn it back on unless it did it frequently. i wouldn't realy see the need to do anything about if it only did it like 2 times a year or something like that.
This actually happened to me today. I was playing an online match in GH3 and the system froze. Don't know if it was my fault or the opponent's but I sure hope the same happened to the opponent because I DO NOT LIKE LOSING AT GH3! But, I just unplugged the system because the power button wasn't doing anything and continued to play.

If you hold the power button down for about 5 seconds, the system will turn off even if it's locked up. (basically the same behavior as the power button on your PC)
actually this happened to me, when I was palying MP3, but thanks God I had saved a couple minutes before it happened(sister moved table, unpluged wii) I got really angry, was about to throw the Wiimote at my sister, but then I remember that I had saved before, and I just screamed at her
I'm going to say call Nintendo but with the right circumstances I could smash the remote in a beserk rage biting my hands then looking around frantically for something to break and getting even more mad when I am unable to break it and then throwing it out the window breaking some more stuff and making a general mess. Then when the adrenalin rush subsides I will look around realizing what I've done and begin sobbing trying to clean it up and come up with a story to explain it all. This is why controlling your anger is so important. :)
Depending on what position i am in... for instance if i just beat a really hard id be pissed off
and not even bother turning back on my wii...unless i was worried that it was broken i would just probaly turn it on then see the home menu screen then turn it back off... but ill still ne pissed
