For me it's probably the focus on the hardcore gamer

That is a hard poll to answer as obviously the focus on "hardcore" titles (for now at least) is great and the key for me, but I am very happy that the slider pad is in and better then the PSP, as well as the graphics being better. All of this adds up to a dream handheld for me. some amazing titles are already announced and they look great and will play great aswell. I hope you can use the joystick in Super Mario 64 DS, even though it is from the previous joystickless DS :P. That was the biggest problem with that game and would have been a big problem for ocarina of time. Good thing it is no longer a problem :).
A new generation with better hardware opening up new gameplay concepts
We could get 32 player FPS games online, bigger Mario Kart online races, Smash Bros would work well on it (controls and graphics) and the 3D Depth could help aid any problems with a Smash Bros game working well on a smaller screen
If the online is as great as they are hoping, that would certainly excite me.
But Star Fox is enough to make me want one.
this[QUOTE="martinX3X"][QUOTE="CongressManStan"]Definitely the first and third choice.moltenix
Definitely this.
I concur.
I'm surprised after 4 years of that being beaten into the dirt, people still fall for it. I'm even more surprised Nintendo is using it for their marketing campaign, well I guess the first part answers the second. For me its simply the games, they have a great start with the titles announced and with its imprved hardware capabilities, there is more that can be done than there was with the DS or even the PSP.For me it's probably the focus on the hardcore gamer

...What does that mean? They are (so far) supporting us with good games that fit the "hardcore" audience.

What I mean is games are games, some you'll like, some you won't. That's all there is to it, this hardcore/casual crap is simply a lame marketing tactic these days. There is no such thing as hardcore or casual games, there are just games. SepewrathI was thinking more of the classics, like Zelda: OoT and Mario Kart. The games Nintendo are talking about for the 3DS are games I grew up playing and love!
Yeah I love me some Zelda and Mario Kart too, but they are no different from Nintendogs or Mario Party, their all just games. And the only way to cater to a true hardcore gamer is just to have good games, for each individual, it doesn't matter what the particular game is. Some people will love a mixture of The Sims, Pokemon and Mario, others will be Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid and Nintendogs is one more hardcore than the other? That is what bugs me about this whole hardcore/casual thing(that the fact that the definition of hardcore changes twice a week) and I don't understand why people buy into it. SepewrathThere is a reason why they're called casual games though. It makes sense. Whatever, apparently I'm a hardcore gamer coz I've gamed for many years. Who cares what others think. So long as we all know what we're talking about.
The graphics, and hopefully better 3D most of all. I wasn't too happy with Suikoden Tierkries havingblocky bobbleheads in combat ( still loved the game though ). I would choose " hardcore " titles too, except somehow I can't imagine myself getting all hardcore with a shiny, bubblegum coloredDS. :P
I hope that Nintendo drops the shovel-ware concept. My favorite thing would have to be the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. My least favorite thing would have to be the new Animal Crossing game. It's not that the Animal Crossing series is bad, because it's one of my favorite series', but take a look at some of the screenshots of the new citizen designs. Screenshots.
Graphics. :D I'm also assuming that the memory of the 3DS chips will be better, so games can be longer.Aquat1cF1shOh, never thought of that, but I sure hope so :D

Nintendo already announced that the new chips will start off maxing out at 2GB, that is four times greater than the DSi carts.
Things are:
1.Graphics.
2.Gameplay.
3.Might be can listen to your songs.
4.Might have internet bowser.
5.And more....
Oh the games libraries are pure awesome indeed. I can't wait!!!!111I think it's just pretty much everything. I mean the fact that it can play 3D, the fact that it has improved graphics and features and the fact that it has awesome games! The game libraries are just awesome btw.

There are games that take up 6GB and are 4 hours long, and there are games that take up a few MBs and are over 50 hours.

It will make for longer games within certain franchises, but in general, you are correct.
