What genre do you think is best suited to the Wii?

I agree First Person ANYTHING is best on it, like an Oblivion or Doom :P Those would excellent games on the Wii or Unreal Tourny :D

Yeah shooters, but at the same time we will see more and more new genres like Rayman and Wario Ware, and old style revamped, so expect great RPGS for the wii :-) Basically, the Wii becomes a pc. Minus the current gen graphics.

First person improvised combat/survival. (Without any solution becoming routine, but a guideline.)

Using Your gun to unlock a door, to keep it opened, to cause a carcrash, throw against a switch, trip someone, to torture/interrogate someone, to trigger a fire alarm, set up a suicide, signal or alert someone, keep it out of the water, hide it, cause a distraction or sabotage it and plant it as a boobytrap.
That's just a gun though, our environment itself should provide much more interesting applications You wouldn't think of at first.

yeah, i was hoping that fps would rock on the wii, but red steel is just bad, while far cry really makes me want to cry.  Hopfully, MP3 will be great.abhirocks198

Sports would really make great games and some first person games... would i buy Oblivion for wii.. Yeah.

Well it would be awesome if there were a Star Wars game focusing on lightsaber combat in first person
