What's best to have? The Ice Beam or the Wave Beam? The wave beam deals a great amount of damage but the ice beam freezes people. Which one is better to have throughout the game?

Keep the Wave Beam until you go to Tourian, then switch it out for the Ice Beam so you can kill the Metroids.
