That's one disgusting, vomit inducing, sea foam green/turquoise mix.
I see Nintendo doesn't know anything about color and decided to rely on Jordan for help.
(people who know Jordan will giggle at the statement above)

Harsh. :P
Though maybe it will look more like this and the above shot is distorted, it's definitely distorted (Was the only full box shot I could find) but I don't know if that would make it look turquoise -
It's just regular blue here.

you mean like the vomit green 360 cases?
oh no wait.... the 360 rocks huh...naw those cases were cool!
Blue cases for Wii U games. I "kinda" like it. The only cases I didn't like are the Playstation 3 greatest hits Red. But these light blue Nintendo case color for Wii U games. Is nice looking.
In the end though, it's just the case, so not a big deal.

Now I'll disagree there, one whole wall in my place is decorated with games on shelves, considering I had like 70+ games for the Wii in the first year and a half if that pattern follows on the Wii U I want it to be a decent color lol

But how often do you actually sit around looking at your game collection to admire its aesthetic value?[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="meetroid8"]

I consider it an organic piece of gaming art.
There's something wrong with that picture in the OP. Here's what standard Wii U boxes are supposed to look like:
When I first saw the covers (with just the blue Wii U banner) I thought they looked AWFUL. But now that I know the boxes will be blue too I think they look great. Weird.
Though, the only thing that really matters are the games inside of each one.
Yes. Ubisoft and Nintendo have confirmed that these are official.Have those been confirmed as the official cases?

[UPDATE] We've received word from a delightful Ubisoft PR rep, Mr. Michael Beadle, who tells us, "Why yes, the Wii U box art you sent is legit; in fact, it's too legit to quit."That's pretty legit.
[UPDATE 2] This, from Nintendo:
"Nintendo has finalized the design of the Wii U game box art, and many of our publishing partners have already incorporated it into their own game packaging. We are seeing those game packages online as retailers are starting to showcase their games. For details about a specific game's artwork, please contact the game's publisher. Nintendo-published game boxes will appear shortly with placeholder logos, and then ultimately with the final artwork for each game."GameTrailers

With your taste in games I'd be more worried about the titles than the color. Not a big fan of that ugly yellow under the blue at the top....... Ugh...looks like oddly colored vomit.
But I like the blue color choice in general. :)
The colour scheme is fine, I've got no idea why people think it's ugly.DeX2010
I've got no idea why people *care*.
Isn't everyone more worried about getting all the great games on Wii U more than what color the boxes are?

Everybody thinks the Wii U will flop, and currently has a sub-par line-up. universally.Honestly, I don't really like them. I think a white/grey swish would have worked better then the yellow. That's just my own opinion, though.

Speak for yourself, man. I am excited for the Wii U and I think the lineup is pretty awesome so far. There are more games in the works, but Nintendo's NDA has left many developers unable to talk about them. Expand your mind for once, be open to new ideas. You'll live a much happier existence.

Not really. If a great game doesn't come to the Wii U and goes to anything else I'll just get it for that. When I have a large collection of games and they are all together I would prefer if they look nice, that's why I don't buy greatest hit versions. People who collect or buy a lot of games like I do just want decent looking cases, it's not asking for much, especially when we are going to be buying 10 times more games than their average customer.I already do but for the most part that falls to indie developers and Kickstarter projects.Nintendo's NDA has left many developers unable to talk about them.
