I want nintendo to release an update for the homescreen. They need to allow more accesibility and also make it more attractive. one thing that i wished they would do is allow you to see what friends are online by pressing the home button instead of always needing to messege them. Hopefully they upgrade it. Who agrees? Oh and feel free to add more suggestions.

I definately agree. I wish I could organize my Virtual Console and WiiWare games better. Also, they need to release an update that allows us to actually use the SD slot as it was meant to be used.

Yeah, they need to release something to allow vc games to be played directly off an sd card. I don't even need that feature, but I would just want people here to stop complaining. More importantly, it would be nice to be able to message friends directly from the home menu. Also, a feature that allows you to start a wii game straight from turning on the system would be nice, so you don't have to bother with the wii menu.

The problem with viewing which friends are on and sending messages back and forth is that the wii isnt continually online. so to do that they would need to completely change the firmware. who knows. they could come out with another channel for messaging and viewing friends. that would be nice.

I totally agree they should just make a channel that would show your Mii profile and what game your playing and channel or setup up something like MSN. And if you want to chat with someone you send them a bump while they are playing a game or something with some words tagged to it and its there choice after that.

The home screen showing you what friends are currently online and if and which online game they are playing would be awesome.

All these home screen ideas cannot be implemented (for any already released game at least) because the Home screen code during gameplay is on the disc itself.

A firmware update is the lease of the Wii's worries. What it actually needs is a hardware update so that it can run games better than PS2 and GC games. Gotta love that max 480p.

You should be able to see time (and the date too, but time's more important) when you press the home button while you're playing a game. Instead of having to go alll the way back to the main menu screen to check the time/date, it'd be much more convenient if you could just press the home button in the middle of a game to see the time/date. Oh and you should be able to tap the power button on a Wii-remote to turn off the remote, and hold it to turn off the console. Cause I'm pretty sure those times when you accidentally synche the Wii-remote to the Wii and leave it on, it's a waste of battery. And it's a pain in the butt to keep taking out the batteries to turn the remote off. Or maybe they should make it so that you have to tap the power button on the remote to synche it, which would actually be a pretty good idea. And also, if you press A button with a GC controller on the warning screen when you first boot up the Wii, you should be able to control the pointer with the GC analog stick.

I'm satisfied with the current home layout. I like the channels idea. I do like your "whos online" idea too. Running things right off SD cards is something I'm surprised they HAVEN'T figured out yet.

I have many gripes about the interface. ONe that seems like a p[et peeve but important nonetheless is why the hell it does not have the time when you press the HOME button. It should have it right there along with many other features.

Are you serious? the screen that comes up when you press the home button? I can do that on the Channel menu, why would it be on the disk if it's already in the hardware? Of course Nintendo can change it, they just haven't yet.

Don't get your hopes up. The internet browser only supports Flash 7 because that's all the Flash SDK is designed to handle. Until and unless Adobe updates that, Flash 8 and 9 will remain restricted to Windows, Mac, Linux, and Sun OS.

There should be a channel for the VC game you downloaded and a channel for Wiiware games you downloaded.
