The Wii Needs A Great Online Shooter!!

OK i just bought the wii like 6 days ago. I rented red steel and i love how the nunchuck and the wii mote work for FPS. If they fixed up on some of the flaws and came out with a game like rainbow six for the wii that would be awesome.IMO red steel is a very good game despite some of the flaws.IMO the sequel should have online and they should polish up the controls and the bugs and that game would be good. Its just that the controls feel so close to a keyboard and a mouse that online shooters would rock for the wii if they did it right. What do yall think?

umm... first of all, ur topic title dunt match wat ur saying, and also medal of honor heroes 2 for wii is coming out this year. It supports up to 32 online multiplayers and players can jump in and out of matches at any time. ps, it will use servers ( yay!:)han_186

yea medel of honor does look pretty promising. now is that going to have the friend codes thing? like can i join random games and add people to my friends list if i want or do i need there friends code?

ps: my bad about the title i just think the wii needs an online shooter to show off the controls which IMO are close to the computer

ps. and yes i understand ea has its own online service but im asking if i can join random games and ppl i meet who are cool and good can i add them with a add button or do i need there friend code? can you answer that one for me big guy

I don't see how just running around and shooting anything that move can be consitered fun........................

Bwii looks like its going to be a cool game but iv never played the first one so i dont know exactly what to expect and i tried going to blockbuster to rent or buy it preowned and they didnt have it

o and running around shooting anything that moves is fun to me because i have a thing for shooting stuff. its fun as hell IMO

On the Battlefeild series which uses EA online yes but besides that the only EA online game I've played was Time SPlitters FP and their servers just went down.

I hope Nintendo gets timesplitters, the ones for the PS2 were awsome.IMOepayps2

The most likely two to nab publishing rights are Eidos and EA Eidos won't make it a Wii Exclusive but with since EA has supported Nintendo so far we could hope.

It would be fun to play Halo 2 on wii even if it's a port, but most likely it won'thappen.

There are other modes in FPS then Slayerfest, they have other modes:

Capture the flag: Working together with your teamates to get points.

Assault: Work as a team to take down your enemys.

Survivor: Hunt down people while watching your own back.

Team Slayer: Start a war.

The Wii needs more online games.
For an online shooter, BWii should have you covered.

Metroid is not even online.

There's a Medal of Honors for Wii that is coming. The game can be played with 32 players online. EA doesn't use the friend code. They have another system. That's why Madden, Fifa and NBA Live don't use friend codes. chris3116

I know that but for the avid shooter fan they will be dissapointed if that's what the want in the game.

That's one of the things the Wii lacks is a good FPS. MP3 will be awesome but it's only one game. I really think that with that controller they could make amazingly intuitive games. Although I know someone mentioned a medal of honor game I'm kind of burned out on them. Hopefully some sci-fi or tactical shooters will come out.

Heck, a port of half-life or doom 3 would be enough. I do see a bright future if done properly in that genre for the Wii.

i just hated it overall. it had good ideas in it, but the way it was produced was bad imo. If ubisoft learns from their mistakes, RS2 could be great.

Not everything since you don't shoot your team mates(on purpose), but I see where you're coming from even though I still like FPS and TPS.

P.S. If it's as good as the PSP version was, you'll be addicted. I play MOH:H almost every time(sometimes I play socom) I use the bathroom for longer than a few seconds haha.

MP3:C will be very disappointing for me if there is no online or multiplayer. ( I will still get it if it doesn't have it though)spendinbig

I didn't really like MPH for the DS, so I think it was a good move for the devs not to add online and to focus on single-player.
