  • DS 2 is fine, but since when has Nintendo done something normal like that?
  • One big touch screen
  • Larger stylus
  • Built in Opera browser
  • Built in memory for demos and games (and nothing cheep like with the Wii, 1G min.)
  • Oh yah, and not turning off the system when changing flipping settings would be nice.

One big horizontal touch screen the size of the psps. But it can flip around like a sidekick so it is vertical. And it will have to processors so it can split the screen in two for original ds games or for games that want the screen cut into two.

1 big screen or 2 touch screens instead of only 1, really good graphics, maybe around xbox graphics. CD instead of cartridge and build in harddrive with an online similar to Live or VC.

Bigger screens, a much larger stylus, the ability to change brightness during gameplay, and super strong hinges. If hey had those I would upgrade to a better DS.

Higher resolutions, two touchscreens that are more versitile like the iPhone's screen, tilt function, SD card reader, at least half of a gig of internal memory, longer battery life, better quality microphone, faster processors, and that they use cartridges with a higher capacity. I wouldn't want the games to be on DVD's because of load times and having to save data on the system or SD cards. I also don't really care for multimedia functions on the DS because it would just add to the price and that is what my computer and iPod are for.

That would be my ultimate DS upgrade.
I don't see the DS upgrading anytime soon though, at least another 3 to 4 years.

I'm all for most of what has been mentioned already, but I would add a notification system for when someone wants to play online against you and a Wii-esque "Home" menu which would allow you to adjust settings or answer a challenge without losing your place in a game. Also, just one friend code for your system as opposed to one for each game.
