Are sd cards meant to be switched out as easily as you would a regular 3ds game cart? Or is it something your suppose to leave in until you need a bigger sd card?

It's suggested to just have a large enough SD card as it is. After all I'm sure you'd be annoyed having to switch SD cards to access different sets of data tied to your 3DS, when a larger SD card will hold all of it. Also better to not have any other SD cards so you don't have any to lose track of in case of an accident.

I have a 16gb sd card in my 3ds then I thought of the games that could be 8gb in size. I might need more than one sd card then.Â
