Still hard to get a Wii?

is it still somewhat imposible to get a wii? or would i might be able to just go into a store and get one. i just dont understand how the wii is ALWAYS sold out... it makes me sad:cry:

I've seen 'em. I'm going to call around, and try to get one tonight. (Like, my casual gaming friends got one, no problem).

I live in Alaska, so there's not to many people. (I was able to get TP no problem the first day it came out for the cube).

If you had gone to a walmart instead of a gamestop you would have seen dozens of copies for both versions while gamestops admitted they only got three or four each store.

If you want a wii hit the stores on a saturday or sunday. Look in the mailbox for the weekly flyers.

Where do you live? I walked straight into the Game in Arndale Manchester (UK) and bought one outright.

Yep, I can't find one anywhere. I'm still on the fence about the Wii, but I'd probably buy it impulsively if I ever actually saw one.

I did finally get a chance to play one at least at my brother's house. Our schedules have been off for the last year or so until now.

It's funny you should bring up this topic again because just a few days ago I got lucky and was able to buy one. Me and my family first went to two gamestops and both of them didn't have one. Then we decided to check one last place for the day. We decided to go to best buy to see if they had any. After searching the store for a while we just happened to run into one inside of a locked cage (next to either two xbox360s or ps3s. I can't really remember). It was the very last one left and so I decided to get it along with warioware smooth moves and wii play. So I have been enjoying it and I can't wait till more games come out for it.

Side note: Is it better to have the sensor bar above the tv or below?

my gamestop guy said they get them in on monday's or tuesdays around noon. He said they normally only get a few and then are sold out within 20 minutes. When I get my paycheck im gonna try that because i still have yet to see a wii in stock ever..socomgamer324
