Okay people, settle down with the "old" comments. Be nice. Yes, the existence of the upcoming Sonic RPG has been known for quite some time, but we all have to learn about it somewhere. There's no thread on Sonic RPG that I can see in recent Nintendo DS threads, so this thread isn't redundant. If nobody's interested in talking about it, the thread will die faster without people hounding the original poster about it.
Regarding the topic at hand... I actually think that the idea of a Sonic RPG could work. People laughed at the idea of a Mario RPG, and it turned out great. It all depends on what sort of spin you put on it; I agree that an RPG that goes down the road of "it's Sonic, but RPG-like and stuff" would probably fail, but if they make it totally different like Mario RPG, it could work. The screenshots I've seen from it thus far look really well done in the graphics department, too.
