With MH3 Ultimate out now on 3DS/Wii U I was wondering if you guys thought we'd get Monster Hunter 4 on the Wii U. I know the series is focusing on 3DS in Japan and MH4 is releasing this summer in Japan. We all know that MH4 will take its sweet time coming to America if at all. I'd guess Spring 2014 at the earliest.

But many of us are experiencing MH3U on Wii U and wish to keep playing MH in HD on our consoles. So do you think Capcom would prepare a Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for the Wii U or something along those lines? If they did do that I would hope they would make the game a bit better looking on HDTVs then Tri does coz my main problem with MH3U is how ugly it can be on my HDTV.

If MH4 came to Wii U it would be a 3DS port so it wouldn't look better then MH3U. MH4 would have to be made from the ground up for Wii U for that. Look at Monoliths X game thats what you want. As for MH4 we will definitely get it in North America. Japan gets Pokemon first till X/Y anyway lol then it takes 6 months to get it here. MH4 will be in North America by the end of the year.

It will be a 3DS port upscaled to HD if it happens, so don't expect pretty graphics. (inb4 "graphics don't matter" - well, they do if the game doesn't look good...)

Pokemon X/Y isn't necessarily coming to Japan first. Its launching worldwide at the same time in October.

I feel Capcom is afraid to step into the next-gen realm with this franchise. MH1-Ps2, MH2-Ps2, MH3-Wii,MH4-3DS. Those consoles have similar graphical capabilities. Why not make a full-fledged MH game on newer technology? There is Frontier but I have no idea what that's about.

Frontier is a Monster Hunter MMO for 360 released only in Japan.

I hope we see Monster Hunter 4 here as well, regardless of it is 3DS or Wii U.

Well the MH pre-rendered CGI scenes look far, far better than the in-game footage so I agree with you.

But I think the reason why they're developed for the handhelds is more sales.
