I don't want to wear down the joy cons on my Lite so that if the Pro controller drifts I can send them to Nintendo to fix and continue playing on my Lite. I have a stand accessory for the Lite that I can use. Thing is, Pro controllers are expensive. Is this a good idea?

Thanks

I personally wouldn’t use a separate controller on the Switch lite. It’s meant to be handheld. The regular Switch in console mode the Pro controller is a must for me.

@vaidream45: Yeah, it really is meant to be handheld. But I wouldn't mind using a mini portable gaming set up like on a plane or something.

I'd say do whatever you want. If it were me, I'd probably get one. Just to have, you know. I personally prefer the pro controller over anything else right now.

The Switch Pro controller is fantastic, so I'd probably get one if I were you...

Outside the D-Pad, the Switch Pro Controller is the best Pad controller for me on the market. I use it with my Ps4 and P.C. as well.

With a Lite however? Maybe, depends how you intend to play on a smaller screen.

I'm questioning weather or not Nintendo may have fixed the Joy-con issue on the sly when it comes to the Mini, and personally, I'm not too sure if the pro-controller would be worth it just for reducing joy-con wear on the mini.

I don't see the point with a Lite. For a regular docked switch, that controller is a must.
