[QUOTE="Sants412"]I hated Jolly Roger Bay on SM64. Not because it was hard, but because it was boring.hazbazzbut it had an amazing song to it
I also think that water levels are always hard. Everybody I know that has Zelda says the Water temple, in Ocarina, was the hardest one. I think it is nothing compared to Majora's Mask water temple.Thiago26792Oh god dont remind me about the water temple in majoras mask :S
I think that they're usually just too slow and boring. I hated how in Mario 64 you only had the underwater turtle shell for like 10 seconds. That really would speed things up.
Hard for adventure games, boring or frustrating on platformers. Also, much les common but equally bad, are bog or industrial waste levels (I'm lookin' at you, Banjo Tooie and Jak and Daxter).VitamiX
aargh i agree. Every platformer always comes out with the what seems like mandatory swamp level, and it always sucks! (spyro, rayman, to add to the list)

I havent played Mario 64 in over 10 years, and I still remember that song at Jolly Roger Bay
I hate the swimming in world of warcraft... lol... jk...
so for nintendo games..?
I think that some of the Water stages on Donkey Kong Country were frustrating as well as Super Mario World. The only levels I remember dying a lot on were the water ones
this is wat i meant to quote but i clicked reply on accident

[QUOTE="DaLegendKilla92"]Is it me, or is it that in any Nimtendo game with levels concerning the Elements, water levels are the hardest? Think about it, in Zelda games, you always get that dreaded feeling everywhere in ur body when ur about to hit the water temple? More l8er7CloudStrife7
Mario Sunshine was cursed from the beginning lol.
hahahahahahah
thats way to funny

Lol. This is so sig worthy.
Anyways, Yeah I agree with the rest of you on the topic of water levels being annoying/frustrating. The Water temple in Ocarina of time wasn't hard, it was just so tedious to have to go back and forth in order to raise/lower the water level in order to get a key/ or something else of importance. It felt more like a chore than fun, which is never a good thing to have when your trying to enjoy your free time.
Also, as far as water levels on 2d mario games are concerned, I've never really had a problem with them. I actually enjoyed going through the water levels in SMB 1,3, and land (or world, I forget)

Ugh, yes. Especially in the Zelda games. The water temples would have me put the game down for days before I started up again. I think the water temples are brilliantly designed, and when you complete them it makes you feel like something, but they usually take forever, and the constant slow swimming and having to adjust the water levels gets frustrating a bit. In other games such as platformers the water levels can really slow down the action and pace. You're running around jumping here and there, exploring.....then suddenly you find yourself slowly swimming through water doing your best to avoid water enemies that are much faster than you and having to rise to the surface for air. Yes, water levels are the worst and forest/fire levels are usually my favorites.
I've always thought this. I think it's because having to perform tasks under water can be slow and disorienting, and of course there's always the threat of drowning.OldSkoolGamer04
I would agree with that, its a much different feeling than running around on land, and the devs have many more options available to them which makes it more difficult.
that nothing try water/escort mission then we talkljlrj
I would assume that you are referring to MGS2, yeah that was one annoying water level. The stupid girl would get stuck and drown.

...Hate to tell you this but Jolly Roger Bay was on banjo tooie, You might be talking about..... Oops I just flilcked on my DS to see what water levels there were and stage three jolly roger bay but there was also a level called that in banjo tooie, sorry.
Anyway on the topic I personally like the water levels. At first I hated them but they were never something where it was obvious what to do next... Ok none of the levels were obvious but you could tell you would get something fresh and new with the water levels. At first I hated them but they do give variety, have to give them credit on that even though they might be annoying they are different and fun!

nope banjo kazooie it was in, and it was called jolly roger lagoon, there was also rusty bucket bay
Call me nuts but I do like water worlds, temples, etc. I find them more challenging that any other world because you have to be aware of your air meter, enemies and of course they seem to need more fast decision and logical deductions 'cause if you make the wrong path you are not going to survive it, and if you take too much time thinking you are going to drown
