Rumor: Activision Prepping Van Halen Music Game, Band Hero and More for 2009

First off I hope this is not old news.

I would love a Van Halen GH game. I would prefer they just release some songs on GHWT but having a playable Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth would just be awesome. I wonder what band members they would bring into the game, just the members right now or are we going to see some Sammy Hagar and Michale Anthony?

Also didn't we just here about GH Greatest Hits coming out? They are pumping out the games if this is true.

Activision's going to single-handedly destroy the music game genre by running it into the ground.

Eh, Activision can do what they want. :P I just plain have more fun in Rock Band than I do in Guitar Hero, and making a music game dedicated to Van Halen is enough to tell me that they have no intention of being more like Rock Band. Not that that's a bad thing - variety is always welcome - but it does make me disinclined to bother.

I might have to take a look into band hero. I skipped GH WT, and i am dying for a new GH game to play.

Activision should really learn from harmonix Why not make a huge DLC pack for WT? C-Lee

Then people are paying money upfront for songs they don't want PLUS getting the packs later on

Band exclusives mean the user doesn't have to part with a lot of scratch to get the music he/she wants
