Resident Evil 4 for the Wii any good?

It's the same game as it was on the Gamecube/PS2. But now it's easier to aim. So if an easy version of RE4 sounds good to you, then go for it.

For me, it was just an okay action game.

Yes by far the controls are great and the graphics are better than the PS2 version.

The Graphics are about the same as the GCN version, which were still considerably better than the PS2 version's (in the case of the PS2, they had to bump down the polygon count and texture sizes, as well as remove some lighting effects). I think the Wii controls are spot on... aiming has never been easier in this game... though even if you don't like them, the game includes alternative control modes for both the classic and GCN controller.ThePlothole

I own it for GC and Wii and the Wii version is more fun... and I wouldn't even consider the PS2 version once you compare how they look side by side. One extra bonus about the GC/Wii versions are that the cutscenes are rendered realtime with the games engine where as on PS2 version, they are prerendered videos and it has a fuzzy look to them.Phazevariance

This would be the best version out there by far, but the button layout is insane, it makes the game very annoying

But this version has absolutely all the features of the GCN version... even optional support for the GCN controller. :|?

no i just didnt find this game intresting or exciting and i also thought this game was meant to be scary but for me its not.

this was the least scary RE. i thought it was awesome. your the only person i've ever heard from that doesn't like RE4

You are truly insane BX. I can't believe you don't like this game, as it is one of the best action games of all time. I haven't bought it on any of the platforms yet, but I'm hoping to get it soon on the Wii. I got a taste of it once (on the Gamecube) when I was at my friend's house, and I've been itching to play it ever since. It's got great intense action and crisp graphics.

It supports the GC controller? I didn't know that, shows how deeply I read the back of the box, and the instruction booklet -_-. I'll need to try that.

Oh and another thing, I like the GC version because it's fun to fool around with Action Replay :P.....yes it's ok for me to use Action Replay, I've been the game like 10 times on Pro :P (but I heard AC is coming out for the Wii soon so yeah.).

Support doesn't seem to be indicated on either the box or the manual. But yeah, all you have to do is start the game up normally, then unplug the Nunchuk from the Wiimote; The GCN controller will take over as soon as you do.

I am deciding if i should get the Wii version or the PS2 version(i have a PS3). I have played the PS2 version and i liked it but i would like to know how the controls are and how the graphics compare to the PS2 version.DarxPhil
