what do you mean first and second game? I put for example Onix in GTS with my pearl, and get it with my diamond and then send it back and BOOM it has evolved?

I think U can find it out by the pokemon you will ask in exchange. You will put for ex. a GIRATINA. Noone is gonna give his GIRATINA for an Onix but you can use yours for the trade. Don't put fot ex. a Bidoof or a Starly because someone may take your pokemon while u change games on DS and connect again...
And am I the only one who can't ge thier GTC to load at all?

sorry im new :( But isn't it better if I train it from the beginning? The begining is when you catch it. So catch a steelix and EV train it. There is no difference...Keep your metal coat to evolve scyther to scizor with the same way cuz there is only one metal coat.

Except on the IVs, but assuming he is new, possibly donesn`t know a lot about it. Also metal coats can be found on wild steelix, if i`m not wrong.
