Well for one you should also post this exact same topic in the PSP board because you know most people in a
DS forum will tell you to buy a DS.

If you want a handheld with a large library of games and cool unique controls get the DS and is also cheaper.

If you want a handheld that has multimedia features like video playing and music playing and with better visuals than get the PSP which is more expensive

DS

large library of good games (nintendo exclusives),dual screens, touch screen (fun and innovative gameplay) , better then N64 graphics, foldable design, cheaper, smaller, online play.

PSP

large screen, analog stick,PS2 graphics, multimedia capabilities (music, movies, pictures, internet), a decent game library (sony exclusives), online play

I personally went with the DS (obviously :P) but its really up to you. I tried to get list some of the best features of each system to help you decide.

If u can get the money for both I would recommend getting both. Thats what I did. Since they are completely different systems and which system you get is completely up to tastes I personally play my DS more because of the long battery life and the games but I use my PSP for movies, internet and music and sometimes games but its rare that I play games on it.

Go with the PSP. It has some awesome games like God Of War, and Final Fantasy VII. The movies are getting better, and the Internet is fairly fast. Though depending on how much money you have, I would recommend getting a second battery, and a way to charge it, without having to use your PSP.

Ps2 graphics? I don't think so.

Go with what games you like.

Look into what games interest you for the DS and PSP. Buy whichever system has more games that interest you.

Though, since I'm in the DS boards, I feel obligated to say that you should get the DS.

DS. I have both. The DS isn't as powerful but much more worth the money. I found that there were very few games on the PSP I was willing to pay full price for.

The Ds have some uniques games, with the psp you can get more of the other consoles.
