Right now, the lowest Xbox 360 goes for $199. By the time next year comes, when it's time for Wii U to be launched, that will prob go down to $150. There fore I think they will charge $150 for the Wii U console + $150 for the controller. Or $200 for the console and the controller would prob price out at $100, so I think the Wii U will be $300. I'm going with that price.

1. They're not going to go over $300. It's too much. And the reason why they can do $300 at that time, is because Wii U isn't launching along side other consoles, so there will be no "Omg all three systems are $300? That soo much" goin on. System is DEF worth ATLEAST $200, and 2. I can't see the controller being priced at $50. Thats the price of a 360/PS3 remote TODAY. The Wii U remote HAS to be about $100. Prob even $75, but you know they won't release a system for $275.

So again, my predicton is $300. What do you guys think and why?

There is already a thread on it here at GS..

I predict $299 for vanilla, and $349-$399 for bundled packs.. Released around E3 2012.

I am hoping between €250,- and €299,-
Don't think I'm willing to pay anything above €350,- unless there is some game or extra controller included.

its hard to say without knowing what exactly is in the box. but assuming its just a bit of a bump over the 360 in horsepower and includes 1 console, 1 controller and the bits and bobs to get that running (power supply n all that) then 300 i think is the price to go for. 350 is too much and 400 would be bonkers.

I highly doubt it is going any higher then $300. But the rumors are it's going to be released around E3. One thing we can say for sure, next years E3 is going to be ANOTHER exciting one! =D

I think the time until it will be released will be really exciting anyway. New games popping up here and there, and in the next few weeks or months we will certainly be seeing the first real gameplay video of a Wii U game. :D Really excited about the 3rd party support this time around... I don't think I will be needing any other console for my hardcore needs next time around, and will be sure to contribute to buying as many great 3rd party titles I can get. :P

I'm guessing $349.99 and that it will come with a game that shows off the potential of the system (like Wii Sports). It will probably also come with some Wii accessories such as a Wii Remote Plus and nunchuck.

$300 almost certainly. I just dont see it being anything else honestly. If they smarten up and put some darn sticks on the controller rather than sliders, and give me good games I will buy it at launch.

The force is telling me that they MIGHT change the controller SLIGHTY from now till launch, and it's also telling me that the system will NOT come with a game for some reason. But if they've learned from their mistakes, it most certainly will come with a game!

350 as of right now but if the PS3 hits $199 in the time before launch I would expect a lower price on the Wii U

As of right now from what I've seen, 350 or higher should be about right.

I'm calling $349.99, and it will be bundled with a game too. I just don't see a handheld being $250 (3DS) and a console (Wii U) at $250 also, or even $300

Over 250 American dollars for sure, maybe even as high as 300. There's no need to get rid of your Wii as soon as the new beast arrives to the party.

I'm still sticking with $299. I can't see Nintendo going above that IF they're going to stay traditional. PS - And I AM a Jedi ;) heheheh

The hardware is better than the PS3's, which will cost around $250 new when Wii U launches. Since the controller is in there, I'll guess that it'll cost $349.99 and will also come with some nice internal software (Maybe Wii U Sports, but downloaded on there already.)

Also, is anyone else concerned with the prices on games? It'll definetely cost more than $50 Wii Games. I hope it doesn't though, $60 just seems overpriced.

I would assume Wii U games would bump up to $60, and the next systems bumping games up to atleast $65.... or they'll stay the same for the other two. But I think the Wii U games will be bumped up to $60

I know they did, but hopefully it's not more than $350.

I can deal with $400 but not more than that
