I have been waiting for these remakes since they announced FireRed and LeafGreen, figured they would come out on DS this isn't really big news but I'm excited as hell.

There are already two topics about this on the front page of the DS forums. So I ask..why make another?

It was obveiously hinted at in Japan last week or so, but still cool.

Maybe we'll get a full fledged Kanto this time?

Thank god, that's all i have to say. Its gonna be one of the greatest days for a Pokemon fan ever when these two jewels come out the US.

Both nostalgic and OMG for me. I loved these games as a kid, so I'm super excited for them to release. I just hope they come out real soon after the JPN releases!

though i never finished silver, jhoto was my favorite region, so i'm definitely getting silver(go lugia!)

I hope they're lazy with it and just mod the dialogue from G/S and release it a month after the JP version.
