Pokedex 3D Pro costs 15 dollars

Pokédex 3D was released today, so I went to the eShop to check it out, and saw that the software costs 15 dollars.

Really?

Really???

I think that even charging money for this is a bit of an exageration, but hey, it's a nice feature to have on the system, but 15 dollars for a pokedex?? That has no other feature!?

And you know what the problem is? The game will still sell like hot-cakes, which proves that people buy anything with "Pokémon" on its name.

Mind you, I don't have anything against Pokedex 3D (it actually was on my wishlist on the eShop), but 15 dollars for a pokedex is ridiculous.

I completely agree. I want Pro because I want to see my favorite pokemon in 3D and create awesome pictures like these:

It looks so cool!

BUT everything else is useless. Fan-made websites, such as Serebii, are more in-depth than Pro and are free. And NUMBERS are a much better way to display a pokemon's base stat than BARS. Those quizzes in Pokemon Challenge sound fun, but there is no way I'm buying a $15 app to see how well I know my pokemon.

I hate bars. They are unreliable and disgusting to look at.

Also, it's much more convenient to go online while you're playing a game than having to switch between game and app on your 3DS.

As I just said on the official thread, it is pretty ridiculous considering that Serebii gives you more detailed information for free and also that the Pokedex Pro isn't even accessible during gameplay.

I'll definitely be passing. While I'm obviously a very dedicated fan, I'm also not a sucker.

But as for everyone that says just go to Serebii or other Pokemon sites what about times when your out & about with your 3DS & don't have access to wifi at all. Where i live theres hardly any free wifi spots at all so the Pokedex 3D Pro will be perfect.SadAngelman

I get internet on my phone, and anything I'd need Serebii for probably wouldn't be featured in the Pokedex Pro. That is, (accurate) base stats, effort values and the like.

I checked the eShop for it and thought it was free.

Needless to say, I turned the power off and went back to Mortal Kombat on my PS3.

I predict that it will drop in price when Nintendo sees how poorly it sells at $15 and then all of the people who already bought it will be called Pokedex 3D Pro Ambassadors :P

Well it maybe a high price but i'm goning to to pick it up soon. Assuming that not everyone who bought the app gave it a rating on the eShop, the app is owned by more than 600 people.

I do need to get Dream Radar soon for the Therian formes.

I just realized that the pokedex will be outdated in a couple of months and there's no news about an update for XY. Well that sucks for those who bought it.
