Is Paper Mario on VC playable on a 50" plasma HDTV? I want to play something tonight but I don't want to open the Classic Controller and pay 10$ if I am not going to stand watching it for more than 10 min.

Thx

Ell I really like Paper Mario on Game Cube and the Mario RPG so I will most likely enjoy this one also :)

60 inch your dad is tight. That makes my parents 42 (1080i) tv seem puny. It's 1080p right? Even if it isn't that is one sweet size. If you have a X360 will be some awsome gaming.

WEll I tried it and it was alright... however, the game itself seems very similar to Paper Mario Thousand Year Door which is a little unfortunate. (yes I know this one came out before the game cube one). However, I managed to try the classic game controller with RE4 and it is cool how the game changes to support it. The game is also much harder with the classic controller.

Make sure you have the screen set to the 4:3 aspect ratio. If you are playing the game in widescreen the image is going to look fatter than normal. And, there is no reason the game shouldn't look good on a 50" HDTV. I was playing Mario 64 the other day and I play video games on a 125" 4:3 screen and 109" widescreen screen. I'm not making this up, my roommate bought a projector last semester and we have a nice size TV :D.

I play Paper Mario on a 46" LCD, and it is playable, but not as good looking if you played it on a 4:3 CRT SDtv since the images are a little stretched out. I would not try to imagine playing on regular A/V cables (that comes with the system) since the game requires specific timing on the button presses, and without component cables you have a good chance at experiencing HD lag.

Will try running it on 4:3 that is a good idea.
