Overlord:Dark Legends :The way wii games should look like

Codemasters just released some walkthroughs about the upcoming Overlord. This prequel is actually addressing the flaws of the 360 and features better and more fluent controls.According to the devs, they didnt want the dumb down the gameplay in any way, and neither the graphics. They didnt go the cell shaded way either,because they wanted the keep the visual awe of the original, and not simplify it a bit.They also state probably no Wii game Released(so this doesnt includes TC) looks as good. If you ask me, even the very best similar style xbox game cant match this(Fable 1), it looks really that good. Its not as detailed as the 360 original game of last year, but it keeps surpringly close, detailed and gorgeous.Really looking foward for this darker style of Pikmin from Codemasters.From a technical standpoint,another example of wiis true capabilities. That actually looks pretty amazing. The first trailer looked kinda bad but this has changed my mind.

Anno, LKS, the new control pikmins, pikmin 3 coming some time and this too... we are getting flooded by RTS-styled building/commander games! they should have released these before when everyone was like "RTS would work perfectly on wii"... but then again, overlord is third-person, LKS doesnt use wii IR at all, etc.

even though, I'd still like a starcraft/red alert styled multi-player RTS... imo Dota would be perfect for wii, heroes have 2-4 active abilities, RTS style is good for wii, great co-op, game can be based around point-and-click, graphics are behind the times like wii's... etc

I fear this game will not sell well.

I actually feel this game doesn't look anything special. it's got color and uses bloom, which is nice but other then that looks very bland. creativeminded

I feel the same way. Not that it looks bad though. It looks a lot better than most Wii games, but it definitely isn't better looking than any Wii game released.

I'm more excited by the fact that they are actually using the Wii Remote in a way that improves the game rather than just making it different.

I have the first one and I'm getting the second one, so I will probably pick this one up too - it is one of my more anticipated titles on the Wii I suppose.

I remember reading interviews with the developers, and it sounds like they are actually trying to make a good Wii game, so I recon the motion controls won't be too bad in this one.

Looks ok. I didn't find it compelling though.

Overlord is such an awesome game. Ihope this studio does as good as Triumph.

This, The Conduit, LKS, and Valhalla Knights are definite buys for me. Overlord looks better and better every time I see it.

this game doesn't look any better than twilight princess, IMO.

but it does look fun! never heard of the series before, but this thread got me interested in it.

Looks interesting, isnt there also a real comedic flare to the whole thing, like you can slap your minions across the screen or things like that. Sepewrath

Yeah. The guy on the video says it is NOT a port... Like 50 times.

I'm not too sure I like the basic premise, but it looks like they really put some effort on the game.

I can't watch the video while I'm at work, they don't have the players. My bad, I swore I read that a somewhere before though.
